I'm Back!
Well, actually I've been back since Friday afternoon, but I've been soooo exhausted that I couldn't even think straight. My brain has finally come back to me so now I will tell you about camp!
On Monday my dad drove me to the camp. We left at 1:45, we got there at 5. Now this may not seem like a big deal, but the camp is only an hour and a half away from my house. Traffic was horrible! However, I tried to be patient because I knew God was probably just protecting us from being in an accident or something. So when we got there, I dropped off my stuff, signed in, and was assigned to my team. (You do all your activities with your team.) Emily was on my team!!! And so were a bunch of other people in my cabin!
Tuesday was our first full day. We all ate breakfast and began our respective activities. And guess what? I rappelled! Down the side of a mountain! :) It was tons of fun! Even though the wind tried to freeze/blow us off the mountain, I had a blast! After we hiked back down to the camp, we all tie-dyed t-shirts. After it dried I got everyone in my cabin to sign it! We also did the trust fall. You know the thing where you stand about 5 ft off the ground and fall back and trust that our teammates will catch you? Yeah, that. They caught me, so I guess it was alright.
Wednesday we had french toast sticks for breakfast. YUM! It was also this guy's birthday so we sang to him. My team played frisbee golf and I must say, it was fun in a weird way. I liked it, but I also didn't like it. I had fun with my friends though! The whole week our speaker preached from 1 Corinthians 10:1-13. It really reminded of how God is always on our side. He might allow a trial to come into our lives, but He will never allow you to be tempter beyond what you can bear, and He will always provide a way out for you to escape. That truth really spoke to me.
Thursday was our last full day. My team did an obstacle course called Donkey Kong. You climb up a ladder, walk across a wobbly bridge, climb a rockwall, and then walk across a telephone pole. But don't worry, you're harnessed in so you don't fall. ;) I love that thing! It gives me such a thrill!
Friday we packed up our stuff and said our goodbyes. I really miss all the people there! I'm glad to be back at home with my parents, but I wish I could still be with all the new friends I made!
So that was my camp experience! I had a extremely awesome time! I can't wait to go back next year!

Camp was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I loved it! I'm counting the months until next year. ;) That was the best first year ever.
In Christ,
Emily
P.S. eight days ;P
