Short Answers
Kids always have something to say--whether it's comical, profound, or completely random, they've got an answer for everything! So, every week on Tuesday I will post 5 completely random questions for you to ask a child or several children (just make sure to identify whose answers are whose). They could be your own children, siblings, friends, etc. Write down their answers word for word and even have a little extended conversation with them if you want to add on (I can't help but ask clarifying questions). Then work up a post with the answers to the 5 questions and come back here to link your post to mine. This could be so much fun! We all love hearing cute things come out of the mouths of kiddos, so here's our chance to prompt a few! ;) Here are my brothers' answers to 5 questions that I asked them.
Grace, almost 4, Nathan, 3, Claire, 4, and Lori, 4
What year were you born?Grace, almost 4, Nathan, 3, Claire, 4, and Lori, 4
- Grace: *shakes head* I don't know.
- Nathan: (He, after much prodding, refused to answer.)
- Claire: Uhm, I was a baby. Yes you were but do you know what year you were born? Wednesday
- Lori: four
- Grace:*nods* Yes because they're cold.
- Nathan: I don't know. Can you guess? No
- Claire: Because I was a little baby and nobody noticed it. (I'm not really sure why she said that. Maybe she was still thinking about being a baby.)
- Lori: I don't know
- Grace: Nothing
- Nathan: a toy
- Claire: a teddy bear
- Lori: Lots of things
- Grace: *stares blankly at me* Do you know? *nods* Open it and look pretty.
- Nathan: (Again, after asking multiple times, did not give an answer.)
- Claire: It's a king.
- Lori: I don't know
- Grace: Drive to the beach.
- Nathan: The mom's place. What's that? It's very far away.
- Claire: On the boat like we went on with Nana. (She recently went on a cruise with her family.)
- Lori: (This has to be the funniest yet) *Said very jovially* I never do that.

lol! I love Nathan's answer to the vacation question--it's so cryptic it's hilarious! :D I also found the idea of a president being a king really stinking funny! Your kids are awesome.
